What is the effect of menopause on heart diseases?

The risk of heart diseases rapidly increases in women after menopause. The risk is more if you have one or more of the following associated risk factors:
Obesity;
High blood pressure;
Cigarette smoking;
Sedentary lifestyle;
High levels of bad cholesterol in the blood; and
