Different Types of Chelation Therapies
Basically there are three types of chelation therapies which are available in the modern world. They are known as oral chelation, EDTA combination chelation, EDTA chelation suppositories therapies. Another most widely known chelation therapy is intravenous which is commonly used in administered settings. Besides the different chelation products available in the market the most common are being the EDTA chelation suppositories.
Intravenous chelation therapy is the popular of all and as a result various clinics of such therapies can be found in different parts of the world including the major cities of the United States. It is advised to undergo such therapies only in the clinic fully recognized so that there should not be any risk of damage to the human body. The cost of this treatment is about us $ 110 to 160 per treatment and it takes about three to four hours. The dosage of this treatment contains about three thousand mg to three grams of EDTA. Some of the vitamin dosage can also be given along with the EDTA, usually in the liquid form.
Along with the several advantages it suffers from various disadvantages also. The main drawbacks of chelation are given under:
- It requires a long time of about four hours and for about two to three times in a week.
- The patients have to tolerate a lot of pain caused by the needles while undergoing such treatments.
- The initial cost of such treatment is very high out of the reach of the common people.
- Generally the insurance companies don’t bear such expenses.
Basically
such therapies are used to prevent the hardening of the arteries which in turns improves the circulation of the blood and causes the blood to flow in a natural way.
