In today’s world frequency of occurrence of disease in the humans have increased to a great extent. Yeast infection is one of its kinds. Though most of us must have heard about the disease but all of them might not know the fact that what is a yeast infection?

Yeast infection is a kind of infection in the vagina caused by the yeast due to its excessive multiplication. Generally the presence of yeast and other foreign bodies in the vaginal canal is prevented by the presence of bacteria. This bacterium is termed as ‘Lactobacillus Acidophilus’. This bacteria releases a particular type of secretion that helps in keeping the foreign body away but by the incorporation of excessive antibiotics this ‘Lactobacillus Acidophilus’ may get destroyed and open the chances for infection in the vaginal canal.

The symptoms of yeast infection are similar to the symptoms of sexually transmitted disease. Extreme pain in the vaginal region may occur which may be difficult to control and which may be followed by the secretion of a white fluid. ??????Symptoms of yeast infection in males include tremendous pain in the scrotum region.

Treatment

The most obvious treatment is the use of vaginal antifungal as recommended by the physician.
