If the table is not in buffet shape then the cloth can be dropped till 18 inches from the height of the table. Also it must be kept in mind that if you are arranging a formal dinner and tablecloth and napkins must be in matching condition. Stain is the main effect that a fine table linen can undergo. Some of the tips are mentioned below for treating the stains on the linen of a table.

1. Red wine: - cool water can be used for soaking or sponging the strain on the table linen. Also one can use the laundry detergent of liquid form or pretreatment can be done with the help of a stain remover.
2. Gravy: - a product that can be used for soaking the containments of enzymes can be used for pretreatment or soaking purpose. If the stain is dry then soaking can be done for 30 minutes then washing can be done in usual manner. If the stain still persists don’t go for drying the linen by using a machine.
3. Butter: -laundry detergent of liquid form can be used as a stain remover which can be used in the pretreatment or prewashing purpose. Hot water is generally considered to be the safest for washing of fabrics.
