Good Health Insurance But No Medical Service: Study

Even a good health insurance does not necessarily save you from problems in these days. According to a study done in Massachusetts, just because you have a good health insurance done does not mean you will have a doctor at you service, and this is also true for emergencies and for people with top drawer coverage. This is all because of a legislation that President Obama signed.
Researchers from Harvard posted as patients who were suffering from depression and were in need of psychiatric care. They phoned every facility listed within the twelve mile radius. But only eight of the 64 facilities contacted gave appointments and four of them gave appointments within the next two weeks. Also, though they were contacted for emergency cases, one in four calls to these providers was not returned. Attaining good health has gone for a toss.
According to study author Dr. J. Wesley Boyd-attending psychiatrist at the Harvard-affiliated Cambridge Health Alliance- they created a situation where even a life threatening situation of the caller was not heeded or given importance to. And medical insurance companies are claiming to give good health insurances but will that really help? With this it may seem difficult to maintain good health.
