Fish is Good For Womens Health

Studies have shown that womens health can be improved by adding fish to their diet. However, the way it is cooked is very important. Baked or broiled fish will boost heart health, but fried fish doesn't show the same benefits. Using data form the long-term Women's Health Initiative, the study tracked the diets of over 85,000 older women for an average of 10 years.

They found that those who ate five or more servings of fish per week had a 30% lower risk of developing heart failure than those who ate fish less than once a month. Fried fish showed no heart-protective effect, and women who ate even one serving of fried fish a week actually showed a higher risk of heart failure. When you fry fish you lose a lot of the benefits, and likely add some things related to the cooking process that are harmful.
